It’s funny how the tables have turned recently in the Jussie Smollett case. He just sued the city of Chicago for “malicious prosecution that caused humiliation and extreme distress” and has from what we can see, been out of work all year despite reports of him allegedly about to embark on a number of projects. All we’ve seen is him trying to sell him Studio City home. But ironically, someone who IS working is one of the Osundairo Brothers… you know, the Nigerian brothers he allegedly paid to attack him? For a moment it looked like they were going to be in jail for all types of assault but things have worked out to the contrary.
Abel Osundairo is now set to star in the film Friends Family & Lovers, where he spends all of his time both bailing out his cousin out of jail and covering for his cheating best friend but falls for his new neighbor, leaving him to choose between his friends, family and lover. Now ever since the Osundairo brothers were included in the Smollett case, we’ve been following them closely because only a fool couldn’t see that this would benefit their careers. For one, they’re both actors, very good looking and quite multi-faceted in their talents from being fitness trainers to Abel boxing, etc. And predictably, here we are with Abel getting a star role. What’s meant to tear us down sometimes can do the very opposite.
The film is directed by Michael Ballard who co-wrote Master P’s I Got the Hook Up and the film will be screened at University of Chicago this weekend. We’re actually very excited about this because for those who haven’t noticed, we always root for the underdog and it’s good to see these Abel come out on top after what him and his brother went through this year.
