Adele recently opened up about her relationship with sports agent and Lebron James’ right hand man, Chris Paul. She gushed saying it was the “incredible, openhearted, and easiest” relationship she’s been in. Oprah’s even chimed in saying about the two that it’s the “first time she’s actually been in love and also loved herself.” The two met years ago on a friend’s dance floor but weren’t an item until this summer and have been pretty much inseperable ever since. She’s been so relaxed around him that she’s even been comfortable enough to bring her 9 year old son around him.
Sunday night will be the Adele One Night Only special on CBS where her interview with Oprah will be airing along with new songs, old songs what was described as “filthy jokes” as well. Oprah spoke about what Adele told her about her divorce saying she wanted to “present a happy person to her son, which I think is so liberating,” the OWN founder said. “Because so many people stay for the children, making themselves miserable. Then the children grow up with a miserable mother. I think that’s going to help a lot of people.”
And in other Adele news, she has an almost $50 million budget for her new album 30 making it one of the highest budget projects arguably in history. And she’s been promoting this since the summer of 2019. At the time she said on Instagram under a series of black and white images of herself, “This is 31 . . . thank f***king god. 30 tried me so hard, but I’m owning it and trying my hardest to lean in to it all. 31 is going to be a big ol’ year and I’m going to spend it all on myself. For the first time in a decade I’m ready to feel the world around me and look up for once.”
She also became the first person to cover both Vogue and Vogue UK for the same month. And it came with massive impact, a combined 42.1 million views and shares online, and 23.5 million views of associated video content. it was such a big deal that it brought together the two feuding Vogue bosses of Edward Enninful and Anna Wintour. Adele is even spawning international peace deals in media. Hopefully this new relationship she’s in will be as successful and promising as her career these days.
