Either Erica Mena and Safaree are really having relationship problems or they are committed to making headlines. It’s been just a over a week since Safaree tweeted that he felt his marriage was a mistake saying, “I mean this from the bottom of my heart getting married was 1 of my BIGGEST mistakes and it will never happen again,” and then deleted it. He even tweeted that he was going to leave before he ended up in jail. Now given his wife’s history with domestic abuse, that actually sounds like an open threat.
Well Mena has opened up about what all has been going on and has stated on Twitter that she wants the world out of her business. “I don’t run to y’all about my marriage issues so please save the energy [sic] on giving me advice. I know what’s what. I do what’s best. And if I’m not the best version of myself for whatever reason that isn’t fair to my kids. MY KIDS come before every and anything.” Now this is a completely understandable stance but might be followed a little more, that is if she hadn’t put most of her life on television over the years.

But we get it. She wants her privacy. And after all, it was her husband who went on Twitter saying things no one should be writing with any sense. she went on to add “ENERGY I will always have: Never has a relationship made me or broke me. RT if this is true for you.”
This is almost cringeworthy to look at. There are relationship fights but seeing two people live in the same house subtweet each other talking about divorce and going to jail almost doesn’t sound real. Two people in their mid to late 30s doing that, mostly Safaree is really… a lot. Meanwhile, they have a child together and all we can think to say is for pray for them.
But it makes for good television. Tariq Nasheed said this is them building up their storyline for the next season of Love & Hip Hop. And to top it all off, Mena posted a #DemonTime thirst trap last night on Twitter so at this point, all there really is to do is treat it like what it is meant to be.. entertainment. Get your popcorn and enjoy the show.
