Beyonce is being a typical vegan where once they go on a diet they want the rest of the world to join them. I mean, why can’t they just eat their tofu and hush? I kid. She’s actually doing this for a good cause. She’s offering free tickets to her concerts for life for a choice fan who chooses to go vegan. It’s not exactly required that a fan goes strictly vegan but just to try to include some plant based meals into their diet like “Meatless Mondays” or having a plant based meal for breakfast. That’s good because I can tell you now, most of her fans submitting their names to the drawing would be lying if they had to go vegan. I’ve been a vegetarian since 2015 and have started cheating about once a month lately. Even still, I can’t imagine going completely vegan. And true vegans don’t wear fur or leather which I’m sure she does so doesn’t that rule her out by technicality? Speaking of technicalities, it isn’t exactly free tickets for life you’re getting.. just one per tour for 30 years. Close enough, right?
So just where did Beyonce get this grand idea from? She and her husband Jay-Z both wrote the introduction to a book by her trainer Marco Borges’ latest book saying they’re “not about promoting any one way of living your life” but rather are encouraging people to “incorporate more plant-based meal into their everyday lives.”
“Having children has changed our lives more than anything else,” they continued. “We used to think of health as a diet – some worked for us, some didn’t. Once we looked at health as the truth, instead of a diet, it became a mission for us to share that truth and lifestyle with as many people as possible.” And if you need further arm twisting to join her diet, Borges has also worked with Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Pharrell, Diddy and Ryan Seacrest.
