WNBA player Brittney Griner’s wife Cherelle Griner spoke to Robin Roberts recently asking for President Biden to assist in bringing her back home, saying he’s the only person who could do it. I spoke to TMZ Live about this as well saying that for better or for worse and even if for selfish reasons, when Trump wanted people home and free, he went completely out of his way to make it happen. Of course things are different being at war, as pointed out by TMZ’ Harvey Levin.

Well prayers have been answered in part. She has been responding to letters and emails her teammates have been sending her. The emails are printed out in bunches and brought to her by her lawyer after being vetted by Russian officials. She responds by writing in pen and her lawyers will take a photo of it or will take notes if she doesn’t have paper. Los Angeles Sparks forward Amanda Zahui B said she never thought she would have heard back from Griner months after sending her an email.

“When she responded to my second letter it blew me away,” Zahui B. said. “I was like she responded!! In my third letter, I was like ‘hey best friend, we are officially best friends now.’”

After Zahui B. got her response, she’s been sending emails every few weeks and Liberty center Stefanie Dolson said “We just don’t want her to think she’s forgotten.” Zahui B. said “She jokes in her letters. I don’t know how she does it with what she’s going through. She’s an amazing soul. She brings light in a situation like this. I don’t think a lot of people could manage to do that.”

This has been a lot of commotion over vape cartridges with oil from cannibis found in her luggage. She’s been detained over 100 days now. We’re still praying that she gets home safely and soon.
