Cardi B just filed for divorce from her husband, rapper Offset just days before their third anniversary citing their marriage was “irretrievably broken.” She’s requesting child support although it hasn’t been made clear just how much yet. She wants him to pay for legal expenses which pretty much says all you need to know who is at fault for the dissolution of their marriage. Then again, anyone who has followed these two in the media knew that. They have been dogged with cheating allegations almost since day 1 of their relationship.

The top billing rap couple have split up at least twice with Cardi B saying before that people deal with their relationships differently and what did we expect her to do after the first set of cheating allegations were made public. It started with Celina Powell claiming she was pregnant by Offset and it all went downhill from then. Originally getting married in 2017, Cardi has gone into great details about she and her husband’s sex life. And why wouldn’t she? She’s the Queen of W.A.P. But in the end, things just didn’t work out. You can’t keep a man that doesn’t want to be kept.

Cardi’s joked over the years about doing things like making something up to argue with her man about just to see how he reacts. She even recorded him sleeping, yelled at him to wake up while holding his phone to show his reaction to the world of what his reaction to her having his phone was. You could tell that they loved each other… at least Cardi did. Offset just had the can’t help its.

In the court documents, Cardi stated “there are no prospects for a reconciliation” which is pretty self-explanatory that this is not like the other times they’ve split up. They also didn’t get a pre-nup which is going to make their divorce all that much more interesting. She’s asking for “an equitable division of all marital assets.” Most importantly out of all this is their 2 year old daughter Kulture that we hope they can manage to prioritize through all of this because we know how messy divorces can be.
