It’s amazing the difference a year makes. This time last year Tomi Lahren was caught on camera rapping along to 21 Savage’s music. Fast forward to 2019 when it’s politically expedient to mock his deportation so you can demagogue on issues of immigration and you have Tomi Lahren being a prick on Twitter mocking him. She tweeted “I got one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight ICE agents ready to deport ya.”

Pop singer Demi Lovato was already shown the business by a rappers Wale and Offset for finding it funny and she’s a part of the business, so you know that no mercy was going to be shown to Tomi Lahren.

First Cardi B decided to do a check in with Tomi, like a parole officer to let her know she was keeping an eye on her and the snide remarks she continues to make about rappers won’t be tolerated. When Cardi made her video about the government shutdown, Tomi Lahren mocked her saying she was the latest “genius mind to endorse the Democrats.” If there’s anything Tomi doesn’t have to worry about being confused for, it’s a genius. Cardi told her she would “dog walk her.” And in follow up, Cardi told Tomi, in regards to her little joke she made at 21 Savage’s expense, “Don’t make me get my leash.”

Nicki Minaj then stepped in telling her “Your obsession w/our culture is scary to say the least. I hate giving you the attention you so desperately crave. Laughing @ ppl getting deported as if your ancestors discovered America. Are you Native American? You fkn clown.” Nicki’s remarks are a constant refrain of mine. Those who have constant negative remarks about blacks, often in the media are simply using the troubles of other people to propel their own career. Nicki was right when she mentioned that Tomi was seeking attention. It would have actually been more appropriate to take a stance and say whether you think he should be deported or not versus the unnecessary smugness. After all, she’s made it clear she enjoys his music.

It looks like Tomi Lahren’s going to keep this trolling #BlackTwitter thing up and if we could pass any advice on to everyone, it’s to just remember that trolls should be left under the bridges you found them to die. Quit giving them attention.
