Cardi B is definitely up these days, so what better name to title her latest track, than literally Up? From her body, to her career, marriage and that massive a** house she’s in and even what she makes guys, in 2021, Cardi B is without a doubt up. And that explains how her fans felt in hearing the song and seeing the accompanying visual Thursday night. She also unintendedly got some other people up as well… and that would be some Jersey artists that felt she ripped the song from them.

Rappers Mir Fontane and Mir Pesos told HipHopDX that the song sounds very similar to their August 2020 single Stuck saying, âWe recorded âStuckâ back in April 2020,â Fontane tells DX. âI freestyled the hook. We shot a teaser for the video in the summer and released the official video for the record on September 15. Me and Pesosâ phones were blowing up this morning because fans were saying Cardi stole our song/hook.
We have nothing against her in particular, but we have reason to believe our song âStuckâ was used as inspiration for her new single, âUp.â We do not believe this is just coincidence.â

Cardi went on to share a video of her with Megan dated August 7th discussing the lyrics, captioned with “I been working on this. Sorry lil boy never hurd [sic] of you.â They responded with proof that their single came out the day before. âIn terms of resolution â they want all creators to be properly credited and compensated for their work in all matters not just this,â Mir Fontaneâs representative told DX. âPesos and Fontaneâs respective teams are working towards a resolution.â
Then Friday night cardi went on a profanity laden rant further explaining herself saying, âI am the type of person, I donât like going to court⊠If I jack something from somebody,â sheâd pay them. But she later stated, âIf youâre feeling a certain type of way, we can take it to court. I donât give a fâk⊠Get the fâk out of here.â She went on to point out that confusion with the producer could have happened over the beat saying, âtake it up with them.â When it comes to the âdrama,â she said, it âdoesnât even bother me.â
Now listen to Cardi’s song, and listen to theirs. It literally sounds like she got the idea from them. There’s just a piece of context missing… “Up and it’s stuck” is a popular phrase that appears in a bunch of other songs so this one might be hard to prove. It looks like she has a point here.
And for all the other songs with the lyrcs:
