Sometimes in life when people get caught up in controversial things, they have the sense to steer away from that topic because of the who Google thing. Ceelo Green is not one of those people. Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion released a sex anthem that will likely mark this decade the same way Khia’s My Neck My Back did the 2000s and hell, the last 20 years really. With that being said, this instant hit has sparked the criticism of many both genuinely and others for clout. See Herschel Walker’s son Christian Walker who told Cardi to go to a gynecologist and stop singing about her genitalia. I know.. he’s trying so hard. But it was Ceelo Green who had the most balls out of everyone.
Ceelo Green had the nerve to hop up on Beyonce Knowles’ internet questioning the morals of Cardi and Megan. Speaking to Far Out Magazine, the Goodie Mob singer said “A lot of music today is very unfortunate and disappointing on a personal and moral level. There was once a time when we were savvy enough to code certain things. We could express to those it was meant for with the style of language we used. But now music is shameless, it is sheer savagery.”
“You have the ‘Heads of State’ like Nicki Minaj or someone who is up there in accolade: success, visibility, a platform to influence,” Cee-Lo adds. “Nicki could be effective in so many other constructive ways, but it feels desperate. Attention is also a drug and competition is around.”
He then went into the discussion of moral depravity saying, “Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, they are all more or less doing similar salacious gesturing to kinda get into position. I get it, the independent woman and being in control, the divine femininity and sexual expression. I get it all but it comes at what cost?”
It was at this point that fans reminded him of his 2012 rape case where he said he didn’t feel a woman had to be conscious to have consensual sex. Not only did he make that case, he wrote it on Twitter and had to delete his account afterwards. His episode of drugging a woman where she woke up next to him unable to remember anything the next day was only resulted in probation and community service.
TW: sexual assault
ceelo green is literally a rapist and rape apologist. he needs to stay out of women’s business and just leave us alone… forever. https://t.co/SO9iPXu6ST

Realizing the foolishness of him having the nerve to comment on any type of sexual empowerment given his history, Green chose to apologize on Instagram. His statement said there was a misunderstanding and that he supports artistic freedom. It leads one to wonder if when he speaks of a misunderstanding if he’s referring to the same misunderstanding with the woman he was in court with saying consensual sex didn’t have to involve both parties being conscious. Hmm. Given that Megan and Cardi are two strong women, it comes as no surprise that a man who has had to resort to drugging women to have sex with them would have a problem with them expressing what they want. Hopefully he has learned from this clear lapse in judgment he had and does not choose to repeat it again.
