It was just a week or so ago when we reported on how a producer was selling T-Pain record deals for about $250 by email and now Chance the Rapper’s the latest to have their name dragged into some nonsense. Two sisters and businesswomen Ibi and Lulu Cole reported they were scammed by a man who called himself Jeffrey Washington, an associate of Chance the Rapper’s who said she was called over to a man’s car where “He asked me if I had any bills.”

She said she originally was “hesitant to engage” with him but said the man who claimed to work with Chance the Rapper and CEDA [the Community and Economic Development Association] “was like we have to use this money before the end of the day. If we don’t spend this money, we lose out on the opportunity to help more people in the coming year. [He also said] they’ll reduce the amount of funds that we’ll get, and that reduces the amount of people that we can help.”
