Chrissy Teigen was just dragged all across the internet to the extent she felt her and her family’s life was in danger just a few days ago over alleged ties to Epstein and yet somehow, she’s sitting on Beyonce Knowles Carter’s internet making jokes at other people’s expense. The joke was a play on a tweet from Nell Scovell, the creator of Sabrina the Teenage Witch who tweeted, “I have a Charles Manson joke and it kills.” Teigen replied with “I have a megan thee stallion joke but it needs to be twerked on.”

Knowing what she did, Teigen immediately wrote, “(Before you start, I love her),” Chrissy continued. “I’ll delete because you guys are sooooo f–king annoying. Just unfollow me you absolute tools.” Now Chrissy, if you knew people were going to be offended, why do it in the first place? Fans reminded her how Megan had just been shot and that this was a little insensitive. “That joke format could literally have worked with Lizzo, Cardi, Nicky, yet you chose Megan at a time when she’s literally being harassed and taunted with insensitive jokes,” one wrote.

Then the apologies came. “I used the play on words joke with a celeb and something their known for with meg and twerking and I should have known that it is just not the right time especially for something so dumb and s–tty and pointless as the joke was,” Teigen tweeted.

“Making anyone feel reminded of a terrible time or letting you guys down sucks more than anything to me so I am sorry to Megan and anyone who thought this was about the incident at all,” she continued. “You’ll say someone else wrote this or that I don’t mean it and that’s always the punishment for having said it in the first place so I’ll take it.” When a fan said she was in recovery, she told them, “She is known for twerking. That was my only thought behind it. it had no other intent and the shooting didn’t cross my mind because my world is consumed with qanon stuff and not much else online.”

The comment really wasn’t that bad. She didn’t reference her being shot but well wishes could have also been better at a time like this. At the same time, does anyone really expect appropriate Twitter behavior from Chrissy Teigen of all people anyway?

And of course, she isn’t the only one to make light of things. Draya Michelle had to apologize for talking about how sexy she felt the whole being shot by your man thing was. One the Wine and Weed podcast Tuesday, Michelle said, “I predict that they had some sort of Bobby and Whitney love that drove them down this type of road. I’m here for it. I like that.”

“I want you to like me so much you shoot me in the foot, too,” she continued. “I want you to like me so much that if I’m trying to get out the car, and you’re like, ‘No, sit your ass in the car,’ and I’m like, ‘No n—a, I’m getting out the car,’ you’d say, ‘No you’re not!’ Bam-bam!”

That’s when Megan jumped in with a subliminal tweet saying, “Dumb bitch that s–t ain’t f–king funny who tf jokes about getting shot by a n—a” on Wednesday, apparently referencing Michelle. Draya apologized saying, “I truly don’t glorify domestic violence. I was trying to say just love me deeply. But while trying to be funny, I offended many, including meg. And I’m sorry.”

What’s sad about all of this is that it seems to be popular to evoke Megan Thee Stallion’s name in everything but a prayer. Whatever it is she has going on in this secret relationship she has with Tory Lanez is obviously traumatizing and something she needs support in getting through. You all have all year to make Megan jokes. They can wait for now.
