It’s been over a decade since Christie Brinkley’s ex-husband Peter Cook divorced her in what was described as one of the messiest divorces in New York history, but he’s just locked down a new blonde. The lucky lady is 21 year old Alba Jancou. Yes, you heard that right, the 57 year architect just married a 21 year old in college. Alba’s currently going to school at Tulane University in New Orleans. Now if that doesn’t scream mid-life crises, I don’t know what does. That’s the type of age difference that you let them leave out of the back door before the neighbors can see the car leaving. You don’t marry with a 30+ year age difference. But that’s another story. I came close to almost doing the same thing at the exact same age of 21 but I’m glad God knocked some sense into me not to go there.
The engagement began when Cook proposed to Jancou outside of a church in Santorini, Greece last month. The two don’t appear to have any significant history other than the fact he’s been taking her to parties across the Hamptons. Oh, and she’s the same age as his model daughter Sailor Brinkley-Cook, who will now be her step daughter. This reminds me of that Nicki Minaj lyric about “sonning” people. While I have nothing against getting with and marrying people multiple decades younger, you have to think about integrating them into your family. For one, Brinkley’s children laughed when she announced she was joining Dancing with the Stars so one could only imagine the response to him bringing a woman home the age of his daughter. I’d probably suggest he have his medication checked to see if it’s time to have it changed. I’d probably also call her mom just for the fun of it. She’ll be graduating in 2021 so the children will have some time before she officially has the free time to spend around them more. It’s our only hope that this turns into a reality show because if this relationship lasts, it would make for epic television.
