Chris Cuomo is close to 4 years into hosting Cuomo Prime Time on CNN and a full 8 years with the network but just got suspended indefinitely for helping his brother, NY Governor Andrew Cuomo with his sexual assault case. Speaking out for the first time since his suspension on his radio show he stated, “a quick note about the obvious — I’ve been suspended from CNN.” He added, “You know this already. It hurts to even say it. It’s embarrassing, but I understand it. And I understand why some people feel the way they do about what I did. I know they have a process that they think is important. I respect that process,” he said Wednesday “So I’m not going to talk about this any more than that.”
Back in August he said during his CNN show’s monologue, “I’m not an adviser, I’m a brother,” Mr. Cuomo told viewers, in his first public comments after Andrew Cuomo’s resignation. He added, “I never attacked nor encouraged anyone to attack any woman who came forward. I never made calls to the press about my brother’s situation.” Well this attempt of his to be a good brother while violating journalism tactics is very likely going to cost him because had any other person on another network been tipping off elected officials, they 100% would not only be in trouble for it but they would be sent through the ringer and by people like him for it. Just look at his coverage of former President Trump. He wouldn’t allow any sympathy to anyone else.
