Rapper Common and comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish surprised fans of theirs when they broke up last month. Well, it was a surprise to everyone but those who knows Common. At this point he doesn’t seem capable to stay in any sort of a relationship for any significant amount of time. We were holding out for the fact that he’s going to he 50 next year and maybe he would be calming down but that’s clearly not happened yet.
In an interview with Hollywood Unlocked he spoke about how the two simply didn’t have the time to dedicate to being together. “I don’t think the love really dispersed. I think it was just like we weren’t feeding the relationship,” he stated.
He talked about how much he wanted to grow with her saying, “First of all, I want to say Tiffany, as you know, is for me, like, one of the best people I met in life. One of the best-hearted and most authentic and caring people that I met in life, and that’s what made me love her and be in love with her her and want to be in a relationship with her and grow with her.”
Common has been around and dated some heavy hitters out there ranging from Erykah Badu to Serena Williams, Taraji P. Henson and even Angela Rye but credits Haddish as being the most mature of them all. “We had a real healthy and loving relationship. It was probably the most mature relationship I’ve been in. The communication, the respect, just all around, man.”
He described where things were going as being hard “to balance … and keep the relationship fair,” and said the split was “a mutual thing.” And as for where they are now, he said, “I feel like both of us cherish and valued our relationship and both have come out better human beings.”
These two were a cute couple but things don’t always work out. Best of luck to the two moving forward. Did you think these two were going to work out and do you think they should try things out later when they have more time?
