Conor McGregor was outside the Fontainebleau hotel in Miami Beach leaving LIV nightclub around 5am Monday March 11th when a fan attempted to take his picture. It didn’t exactly end so well for either of them as the fan’s phone ended up getting smashed and stomped into the ground before being taken away by a laughing Mcgregor. The fan was out of the phone and later in the day around 6pm, police were at Mcgregor’s door to arrest him for robbery/strong-arm and criminal mischief.

Yesterday afternoon, McGregor’s attorneys released a statement saying, “Last evening Conor McGregor was involved a minor altercation over a cell phone that resulted in a call to law enforcement. Mr. McGregor appreciates the response of law enforcement and pledges his full cooperation.”

Comedian Michael Blackson has weighed in calling McGregor a menace to American and needs to be kicked out of the country. “If it was me, I’d be deported by now.” He has a point because for people on probation or even in the country on a visa, it doesn’t take much for them to be deemed a national threat and for proceedings for them to be deported to begin. “Somebody should call Donald Trump and get I.C.E. (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and get him deported. He needs to be deported.” It’s a clear double standard. This is McGregor’s second arrest in the last year as he threw a steel handtruck at a UFC bus, injuring multiple people.

The victim here who had his phone smashed, Ahmed Abdirzak said he was caught in a bait and switch with McGregor here. He was taking his picture from a distance when McGregor approached him for a handshake, then reached over, grabbed his phone and smashed it. His bodyguards blocked the two while it was happening and probably for good reason. Anyway with that type of rage, you probably don’t need to be up close to them.

McGregor was released around 8pm and was seen jogging shirtless late at night after posting his $12,500 bond. hopefully he learns to curtail his anger. Jogging is a good start. The anger management class he was ordered by the court to take following his bus incident clearly didn’t work, as we can see.
