While R Kelly announced this morning to Gayle King that he’s fighting for his life, Demi Lovato is actually doing just that. It’s been 8 months since she OD’ed, axed her entire team and even moved in a condo near an inpatient facility but she’s sober. One of the things that has been helping her get through is boxing. In a hilarious video she posted to Instagram, while working out with her trainer, MMA fighter Jay Glazer, she knocked one of his teeth out while he had a mouth guard in. Now that’s impressive. And as a word to R Kelly, until you can do that, you’re not fighting for your motha****in’ life as you claim to be.
In her continued effort to maintain sobriety, she dropped her designer boyfriend Henry Levy who’s behind the luxury brand Enfants Riches Déprimés. Her family felt it was more important for her to focus completely on her sobriety so they decided to go their separate ways. “Demi and Henry split right after she entered treatment for the second time,” another source said. “She entered treatment for her mental health issues and not because she relapsed. Demi knows she will be battling her struggles for a very long time and wants to take precautionary measures when she feels the need to check in on her health. She never wants to get to a place where she was last year when she relapsed. Demi and Henry decided to split because none of her family members approved of her getting into a relationship so quickly and wanted her to focus on herself and her health. Demi felt distracted and overwhelmed, and wanted to take a breather and truly get healthy.”
“She is now out and back at home where she’s continuing therapy, workouts and making new music,” the first source said. “She is in a good place and happy. She is surrounding herself with the most positive friends and influences. She is perfectly fine with cutting anyone out of her life that doesn’t support her sobriety 100 percent. She takes this extremely seriously and is committed all the way.”
One thing is for certain, she won’t have to worry about being taken advantage of any time soon with footage of her knocking people’s teeth out.
