Diana Ross just finished performing at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival in New Orleans yesterday and though she tore down the stage as we only expect that Diana Ross can, her performance was overshadowed by an unpleasant experience at the airport on her way home. She went on Twitter this morning saying she was “treated like sh**” at the airport in contrast to the royalty she was treated as by the rest of the city.

About her time getting acquainted with TSA, she said, “Its not what was done but how, I am feeling violated – I still feel her hands between my legs, front and back ( saying to me it her job ,) WOW!!really mixed emotions I always like to see the good things but not feeling good right now.”

If there is anything we can say about TSA it’s that they are consistent in their across the board unnecessary, ridiculous behavior and we long for the day the agency gets disbanded. FYI, you don’t need government employees to do airport security. Government ruins everything. But the statement TSA made was typical as they claimed no wrongdoing… as expected.

“TSA is aware of concerns presented by Diana Ross about her screening experience at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport this morning,” the statement read.

Initial review of CCTV indicates that the officers involved with Ms. Ross’s screening correctly followed all protocols, however, TSA leadership will continue to investigate the matter further. We encourage Ms. Ross to reach out to TSA so we can work with her directly to address her concerns.”

TSA has been reported to ask women to show agents their pads, have been found to overly pat down and search black women’s hair and they’re largely unhappy with their jobs which means they’re going to be that much more abrasive because they don’t want to be there to begin with. And if you decide to say something about how you’re treated, the agency keeps a secret watch list of everyone that fights back. Nothing says Customer Service like a list of people who made complaints so that you can make their experience that much worse the next time. In other words, typical government employee.

Diana Ross learned that none of her accolades were enough to make her exempt from the hell the rest of us all endure in the airport. But what we can say is that if Diana Ross complains about TSA, Diana Ross is going to get a response. While we’re sorry to hear that this happened to her, we’re glad for the exposure because maybe now they can stop being d*cks to the general public and the 5% success rate they have for catching banned items at airports.
