These days we don’t hear that much about Lindsay Lohan being a hot mess but her mother Dina Lohan is filling in until Lindsay can reclaim her throne. Saturday night she was on her way back from Outback Steakhouse with a suspended license and got followed home by someone she rear ended and decided not to stop. The police came shortly after to her Long Island home where she was found in the driver’s seat of her Mercedes wit the engine still running, slurring and glassy eyed with alcohol all on her breath. She proceeded to open the door and fall straight out into the ground, accusing the police of pushing her. She said she only had one glass of wine, refused all sobriety tests and was arrested on felony charges of driving while intoxicated.
In case you were wondering why her drinking and driving was a felony, that’s because it’s an automatic felony if you do it twice in a decade. Her last time was in 2014. She was released on her own recognizance today after pleading Not Guilty. Her attorney Mark Heller calling the event “an unfortunate event,” saying “We’re hoping we’ll resolve it favorably.”
In other Lohan news, Lindsay is on her way back to America. For those who didn’t know, she’s been on The Masked Singer in Australia recently. She did, however speak to Anderson Cooper on New Year’s Eve from her home in Muscat, Oman where it was already near 9 hours into the New Year that she plans on coming back to America to continue working this year. “I’m doing something soon in this new year. And just, y’know, taking back the life that I worked so hard for and sharing it with my family and you guys,” referring to Cooper and co-host Andy Cohen. She added “I miss New York, I miss my mom, my dad, my brothers, y’know, I miss my family and I miss you guys, too.” Maybe she can keep an eye on her mother and makes sure she gets around without breaking the law any more.
