IHeartRadio may have postponed their award show this year, originally scheduled for last night at the Shrine Auditorium in LA but things worked out because they still ended up having an event. Elton John held an IHeartRadio living room concert raising money for coronavirus relief. Joined by big name stars such as Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Demi Lovato, Lady Gaga, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, Dave Grohl, Tim McGraw, Billie Joe Armstrong, Backstreet Boys and a host of others.

Mariah Carey made it known she still has it with a series of whistle notes in her performance of Always be My Baby and Alicia Keys who sang her new song Underdog. The song was about those working in the medical field, first responders, etc., a piece that sounds like it was penned as a direct response to the coronavirus epidemic, but no. This was written in January.

Other performers included Lizzo and Ciara, along with celebrities like Russell Wilson, Ellen DeGeneres, Ryan Seacrest, The Masked Singer‘s Ken Jeong, Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone. This at home production is a testament to the ingenuity we all have in working around the obvious obstacles of being stuck at home. It clearly hasn’t stopped the show so IHeartRadio gets our credit for this one.
