Jabrill Peppers is currently one of the nation’s top NFL recruits, starting at University of Michigan this fall. At 18 he’s been named Player of the Year by MSG Varsity and a “Future Game Changer” by Sports Illustrated. He may be leading the pack in football now but he didn’t always have it so easy. During a recent interview, Peppers talks about his broken family and growing up with all economic disadvantages against him but managed to overcome as number 1. Peppers’ father went to prison on gun charges at 11. Three years later he lost his brother to gun violence.
