Today’s eye candy pick is New York model Darius Williams, one of the famed models from Foto 119 photography. After attending Northwestern State University in Louisiana, he pursued his dream of joining a major fashion house and says he was dropped off in New York on Bowery Street with $200 in his pocket and a suitcase full of summer clothes, tasked with finding his way. It wasn’t long before he became the face of Polo Ralph Lauren and has had a successful career as a model doing ad campaigns Bartlett, Nike, Sperry Topsider, Verizon, Apple, Hanes and appeared in Flaunt Magazine.
If you’re looking to have a career like Darius has, just know that it takes determination and commitment. In a previous interview he had this advice to offer: “Once I commit to something, I never quit. Especially if I have that internal desire and fire. When people tell me I don’t know what I’m doing, or if they’re laughing…it doesn’t bother me. I’ve always known that I didn’t want to be the norm.”
