Justin Bieber’s turned 25 and grown up quite a bit lately. He’s married to Hailey Baldwin, who he’s been friends with the last 10 years and went to church with. That’s a far cry from the drag racing, public urinating Bieber we all grew to love (or hate) in recent years. While they’ve finally been moving along in their relationship apartment hunting as recently as last week in Manhattan, their second wedding, (the real one since they got married at a courthouse in New York) has been postponed yet again. While it’s understandable that they have careers and schedules to work around, it appears there’s something a little deeper at play going on here.

About 6 months after they’ve gotten married, Justin Bieber’s expressed feeling “super disconnected and weird.” He’s also said he’s in the midst of the “most human season I’ve ever been in” and plans to face his challenges “head on.” He asked his followers to pray for him. And this didn’t just come about now that he’s married, he also told Vogue last month that he was depressed throughout his last tour in 2017. “I found myself doing things that I was so ashamed of, being super-promiscuous and stuff, and I think I used Xanax because I was so ashamed,” he shared. “My mom always said to treat women with respect. For me that was always in my head while I was doing it, so I could never enjoy it. Drugs put a screen between me and what I was doing.”

While it’s nice that he’s being transparent, this isn’t exactly something your newlywed wife wants to hear right after tying the knot. And as Wendy Williams said, this whole “pray for me” public outcry business isn’t all that manly. She grew up in a famous family and knows how to handle what comes with being a celebrity. Bieber on the other hand is new to it all still and apparently is really struggling. This has the potential to be a last straw for if he doesn’t get his act together. It might not be in this situation but it certainly would be for many others.

And to make matters worse, it appears to be rubbing off on his wife, Hailey. She told People Magazine at the RoxyxSister collection launch by pro surfer Kelia Moniz that she’s also been focusing on her mental health. “I think there’s a lot of different levels of self-care, like eating right, drinking a lot of water and working out. It’s really good for your mentality. I think your mental health should be number one, and it falls to the side a lot.”

Now it’s one thing for one of them to be experiencing but it’s a completely different thing for them both to be going through it. Alas, in the end, it does happen and hopefully they’ll pull through it together. This is the most well behaved we’ve seen Bieber and seeing him becoming grounded as an adult’s a good thing. We’d hate to see him throw it all away because of a bout with depession.
