Murder Inc’s Irv Gotti appeared on TMZ Live to talk about parenting and discussed how he broke down the sex conversation with his daughter. Well it turns out he did it with her boyfriend and it involved a gun. Now when he mentioned the part about the gun he immediately said they could edit that part out but who’s going to resist capitalizing on footage of a celebrity father talking about using a gun to help direct conversation about the birds and the bees with their children? He said that he’s very close with her boyfriend and he did it in jest. He says he knows how he was when he was younger and he, like many other men, doesn’t want her to end up with a man that’s like his younger self.
To put Gotti’s gun toting conversation into perspective, this comes not long after reports of rapper T.I. said he goes to his daughter’s OBGYN appointments and checks himself to see if her hymen is still in place. He doesn’t wait for a report from the nurse or doctor, he said he has to see for himself. Gotti came to his defense saying that they were both protective fathers, offering him some soft support but didn’t go into detail regarding whether he would do all that T.I. did or not. By the way, T.I’s daughter has unfollowed him on social media in light of his statements about her. From my understanding, he offered her a certain amount of money if she remains a virgin through about 18 and he’s just checking. That’s um… just a little bit much.
But we give Gotti credit for keeping a close eye on his daughter’s relationship. He said he’s known her boyfriend for the full 8 years they’ve been together, so that’s good. And how many prom scenes have we seen in movies where the dad goes for the gun to put the fear of God in the boy coming to pick their daughter up? At least he’s being a concerned dad… And it doesn’t involve in private part examinations…
