Footage of the Nigerian brothers, Olabinjo Osundairo and Abimbola Osundairo that were arrested and released after telling their role in Jussie Smollett paying them to attack him for attention has just been released. The footage from the store in the Streeterville neighborhood showed them wearing a simiar hats and ski masks as the ones being purchased. CBS Chicago’s Charlie De Mar obtained the footage after making multiple calls and paying visits to stores across the area to get the video.

After weeks of suspicion and seemingly mounting evidence about Smollett to show that he staged the entire attack, such as the $3,500 paid to the Nigerian brothers, the police have finally pointed some blame at him. An update from the Chicago Police Department spokesman Anthony Guglielmi was posted on Twitter just now stating Case Update: Jussie Smollett is now officially classified as a suspect in a criminal investigation by #ChicagoPolice for filing a false police report (Class 4 felony). Detectives are currently presenting evidence before a Cook County Grand Jury.”

A report of Smollett’s character being cut short on the Fox show Empire with him in about half the number of episodes he normally would have been so his legal issues won’t interfere with filming has been shot down by Fox yet again. In a statement they wrote, “Jussie Smollett continues to be a consummate professional on set and as we have previously stated, he is not being written out of the show.”

New updates will be reported as they come.
