Kanye West was scheduled to be the headliner during two days of Coachella on April 17th and 24th. But just 2 weeks before it was scheduled to begin, he pulled out without giving a reason. For those who might recall, he asked Billie Elilish to apologize for saying Travis Scott intentionally had the 10 people killed at his AstroWorld Fest before he performed at Coachella. And that matters because he said he was bringing Travis on stage which would be his first big stage since the event and it would be awkward to have him performing with this woman who’s also performing there while actively saying essentially that he’s a murderer. And while no explanation was given for him pulling out, this likely had something to do with it.

Another contributing factor could be a report that he would be seeking help amid all of the chaos he’s caused this year having his Grammy performance cancelled and people like D.L. Hughley saying he needed to be dealt with. A source close to the Kardashians said “For the sake of the kids, Kanye has told Kim he’s not making any public appearances or inflammatory social media statements, and he will go away somewhere to get better.” A rep also told Page Six, “At this time, Ye is committed to a healthy co-parenting relationship with Kim and is and focused on raising their beautiful children.”

So that’s no Kanye or Travis Scott this year At Coachella. Hopefully we’ll be able to see them both back on stage soon where Kanye will be in a better place and Scott’s AstroWorld scandal will be closer to being resolved.
