Kanye West just had an extensive interview with ABC’s Linsey Davis to air tonight on Nightline which was previewed on Good Morning America today. When asked by Davis “Do you have future political aspirations,” he responded “Yes, absolutely.” And if you think he has too much craziness going on to make a run for the top office, he’s already being mindful of that. He just apologized to his ex Kim Kardashian for “any stress” he may have caused her saying, “This is the mother of my children, and I apologize for any stress that I have caused, even in my frustration, because God calls me to be stronger.”

The significance of Kanye’s apology is important because her ex Pete Davidson was reported to be in therapy over how he treated him while together and he had appearances canceled over disturbing things he had been saying to Kim, her mother and Pete on social media. He went on to say, “I need this person to be less stressed and of the best, sound mind and as calm as possible to be able to raise those children at the end of the day.”
Regarding their co-parenting, he said he has the right to weigh in on what his kids wear and watch stating, “I have a platform where I get to say what so many dads can’t say out loud.” The problem with this statement is that of the candidacy and eventual presidency of the former President who lead an era where people got to say the quiet part out loud. Just because you can think something doesn’t mean it needs to be said and every grievance isn’t necessarily valid but that’s another story. And as it pertains to the former President, he did denounce his endorsement on the campaign trail.
One thing to note about Kanye’s last run for president is that an investigation showed that his Independent campaign was run by GOP oepratives leading many to believe he was a Republican plant and possibly in the race to pull votes away from Biden which in the end as we can see didn’t work. He also could have shaved before this interview. His 2020 campaign was ran on what he called the “Birthday Party” and was under the advice of Elon Musk. Light on policy his first time around, we hope that he does a better job of learning about government before his next run. He also didn’t confirm if he would be running in 2024 or just when exactly.
