Kanye West had his album preview event at the Mercedes Benz stadium in Atlanta last week and just decided he wasn’t going home. So he set up shop there to work on the album until its done. It reportedly has an August 6th release date and his accomodations to include a chef on site are totalling up to $1 million a day. His manager Bu Thiam tweeted a pic of him in his living space that includes a twin sized bed and wall mounted tv captioned with “He’s locked in.”

A stadium spokesperson told Insider, “we’ve been able to accommodate his needs while he’s with us.” So one has to ask, why on Earth would he do such a thing. He’s paying $1 million a day. That is outlandish by anyone’s standards. Well it’s going to garner far more press than just about anything else he could have done. Even if you’re not a fan, realizing he’s going through this much effort to finish an album, you probably are going to go sneak a peak when it’s done just to see if it was worth it. Kanye West is a marketing genius. Don’t let anyone say different.
