Kirstie Alley was on Dancing with the Stars in 2011 with Maksim Chmerkovskiy as her dancing partner and they’re both being reunited on Twitter in a cultural spat. Chmerkovskiy is currently in the Ukraine capitol of Kyiv and isn’t very impressed with social media commentary from Alley about what’s going on. She took to Twitter saying, “I don’t know what’s real or what is fake in this war. So I won’t be commenting. I’ll pray instead.”
Being that Chmerkovskiy is a native of Ukraine who happened to be in the country at the time the attacks began, he took Alley’s remarks personally responding saying, “Dear Kirstie, we haven’t spoken in a while, but I clearly remember being right next to you while you were organizing trucks of aid during Hurricane Sandy and I remember all that you were saying to me about situations where innocent are suffering.”
“That same energy is needed right now. No one needs your prayer if you don’t know what’s real or fake,” he added. He then shared social media posts from Bethenny Frankel showing all that she’s been doing to help as an example saying, “My friend Bethenny Frankel, so she set up right outside the border with Poland in Polish territory. Right after people cross, she receives them and gives them aid.

“A lot of women and children, they get separated from their men β fathers, sons, husbands, whatever β at the border because they are not allowed to leave,” he explained. “And so the women make it out without the men, and Bethenny is there to help them out. She has a lot of aid and she’s doing an incredible job.”

Seeing what’s going on Alley tweeted, Iβm sorry that Iβm not an expert on APPARENTLY EVERYTHING.. like some of you jack wagons. Itβs ok to admit you donβt know things. πππ”

In all fairness, everyone isn’t Superman. Kirstie Alley’s not a non-profit director and to be clear, the attack was just what, a day or two ago? Can we process what’s going on before attacking people for doing things as simple as err, praying? Jesus Christ. Maybe she’ll donate later but we’re still taking everything in. After all, this very well could be the start of WW3. And she’s 2 decades older than Bethenny. Cut her some slack.
