Rapper Lil Wayne is now claiming self-defense in a lawsuit filed by his former assistant Andrew Williams after allegedly connecting a punch to his face with a handful of rings over the summer. Wayne’s company Young Money Entertainment along with Signature Flight Support are both being sued for an unspecified amount for the June 10th event that court documents say “caused great harm to [Williams.]”

The altercation began with Young trying to diffuse a situation with Wayne arguing with the pilot, trying to keep it from getting physical. It was at that point that his jaw suffered the consequences. And when he went to Urgent Care later, the only thing Wayne’s crew responded with was requesting he return a missing Bluetooth speaker and company backpack.

Wayne’s now asking that this whole lawsuit be thrown out claiming Young didn’t experience any injury and that he was rightfully fired for not exhibiting “reasonable care and diligence.” This was also in response to him claiming he “incurred general damages including incurring medical expenses in amounts to be proven at trial.” He also cited “humiliation and mental anguish.”

He had added in the suit, “Lil Wayne was willful and malicious and was intended to oppress and cause injury to [Williams]. [Williams] is therefore entitled to an award of punitive damages,” also claiming Williams was also wrongfully terminated. “This termination was done despite Lil Wayne being aware of and causing [Williams’] status as a victim of a crime,” his lawyer added, claiming Wayne fired Williams “based on his race and color in violation” of California law.”

In other Wayne news, he got word that Nick Cannon had been in the hospital with pneumonia and he took the opportunity to wish him well and in his words, “BRO WE NEED U TO KEEP REPOPULATING THE EARTH.” We just reported this week that sources close to Mariah Carey say she wishes he would spend more time with their twins, so she might have some reservations about that remark.
