Amelia Hamlin, daughter of Lisa Rinna and girlfriend that’s about 20 years younger than her man Scott Disick is responding to recent blackfishing claims. Thursday she posted a pic several shades darker with fans and followers alike calling her out. Captioned with “whiplash got me like….,” that’s exactly what she gave her fans trying to understand what was going on.

As for her explanation, she posted to her Instagram Stories saying, “im receiving a lot of comments in regards to my latest photo. I am being told that I am ‘black fishing’ – thank you all for educating me on this topic. I recently went on vacation in the sun, and with my Italian heritage I tan very easily.”

Blackfishing, for those who don’t know refers to using makeup multiple shades darker to appear black, or the use of fillers, cosmetic surgery, etc. In other words, the benefits of the body and not any of the struggles or general black experience to deal with.

She continued about the controversy saying, “There is no self tanner involved. Or intention of looking darker than my own natural skin color. I had a lot of fun creating this look with no malice intention or offense,” she added.

The 19 year old model who is dating the 37 year old reality star Scott Disick and daughter of THEE Lisa Rinna is around enough big names where she should know better. As for her excuse about tanning easily as an Italian, there was a Netflix film called White Lie where a woman was an adult before she found out she was white because her parents lied to her all of her life that she was white to conceal an affair. She was told her grandfather was Italian as an explanation for her dark skin. In this case, this is clearly makeup. Amelia, just take the L and move on. Lying aboutit is doing you no justice, whatsoever.
