Lori Harvey’s been getting a lot of criticism as being just arm candy but she’s proven in a recent interview that she does bring value to her relationships. She said that after dating Michael B. Jordan for a bit in the beginning of their relationship, she realized he didn’t have a skincare routine. So for those thirsting after pics of his, apparently you have her to thank for his clear skin. “Mike doesn’t know a ton about skincare — everything he’s learned, he learned when we got together,” Lori said. “He used to just wash his face with a warm rag and walk out the door, and it would make me cringe.”
She’s now month 4 into having her Skin by LH skincare line that’s apprently helping not just her pockets but her man’s face. She said in a previous interview that she tested all her products out on his face saying, “I tested all my products of course on myself, but I also tested them on my boyfriend. He has become my live test model. So now he’s very into his skincare routine, as well. And he tells me all the time that when he’s on set the makeup artists compliment his skin now.”
She said in her most recent interview that she’s in hopes of helping young black girls get into the beauty industry. And that’s a commendable goal because comparatively it wasn’t until recently that the first black woman to have a billion dollar beauty brand happened and that was with Rihanna. And black owned brands make up just 4% of prestige makeup. “There aren’t a lot of big skin-care brands that are headed up by or have been founded by Black people or, specifically, Black women, so I wanted to add to that list.”
“When the next generation is coming up and there’s that little brown girl who wants to get into skincare or start her own company, she can see me and be like, ‘I can do it, too,’” she added.
Kudos to Lori Harvey for helping her man out. I mean he was already fine before but apparently she found a way to even improve on that.
