For those who don’t know, Madonna was dating Tupac when he was alive, something she admitted to in a 2015 interview with Howard Stern. Fast forward to today and she just lost an appeal to keep from having a breakup letter he sent her from prison put up for sale. The letter cites her being white as why their relationship ended. This marks the 15th year this fight has been going on. Back in 2004 she made a settlement agreement with Darlene Lutz, a former friend and art consultant who worked for her from 1981 to 2003 where Lutz would be able to do with the letter along with a number of other things including panties of hers as she pleased.
Well now Lutz is planning to put the items up for auction and Madonna said she wasn’t aware she even owned most of it until the auction was announced. The items will be going up for sale on GottaHaveRockandRoll.com next month. It isn’t clear if Madonna’s going to appeal again but one would imagine if someone that worked for you for over 20 years snatched a ton of things on the way out and tried to hawk them for money, you’d fight them tooth and nail so we 100% expect a legal response from Madonna.
Meanwhile, Madonna’s going to be in New York at the end of the month for their WorldPride celebration closing out the celebration with a performance on Sunday, June 30th. WorldPride is a 2 day event at Pier 97 in New York City as an international celebration of the LGBT community. This year is going to be exceptional as it’s the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots in protest of an anti-lgbt criminal justice system and who better to commemorate this than the Material Girl herself.
