Real Housewives of Atlanta star Sheree Whitfield found herself left out in the cold literally when her now free longtime prison beau Tyrone Gilliams was a no show for a date not long ago. And given the fact that she literally waited for years for this man, fans were excited to hear that she was back out dating recently. She told TMZ in late July that she and Martell Holt from Love & Marriage: Huntsville were now an item. She said that they were introduced “through a mutual friend” and that he’s since met “several people” in her family. “We’ve been just hanging out,” she shared. “I’m enjoying life right now.”

Holt seems to have another view of what’s going on. An insider close to the couple told vlogger Quentin Latham aka FunkyDineva that they’re not together and that he’s simply been fixing her pool and pulling permits for her. They also said he’s pissed about his phone “ringing off the hook” since she shared the news. Then there’s the backlash from her friend and fellow RHOA costar Kandi Burruss who said she’s afraid he’s using her. In a radio interview she said, “I don’t want her to be in a situation where it feels like … where she’s being used for publicity.” She said earlier in the year he had requested a table at her restaurant Blaze and wanted seating where paparazzi could get pictures of him.

Now this is unfortunate if true, given what Sheree has been dealing with in the relationship department. She definitely deserves a good relationship story at this point. We met her over a decade ago in the middle of a divorce and here she hasn’t found that person to even briefly be happy with on camera since then. Maybe Sheree had high hopes of pulling Holt and had expectations that he didn’t. It doesn’t necessarily mean she’s lying. She did say they were just spending time together. And if he was just pulling permits for her, he woudln’t be shirtless on the beach with him. And we’ll say this, he’s a very good looking guy so she knows how to pick ’em.
