Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B have had the successful collabs of WAP and most recently Bongos and now Megan is telling Complex Magazine that the two are “already building a little EP.” They just performed Bongos at this year’s MTV VMAs (Video Music Awards) with Nicki Minaj hosting. And that was a little awkward given all the tension between Cardi and Nicki with both of their husbands threatening to beat each other up on social media that night, but that’s another story.
In reponse to Complex’ Jessica McKinney, when asked if the two ever considered a joint project, Megan said “I literally think that’s the route that we’re going. So I’ve done two songs for her. And now I feel like I’m in a space where I know exactly what songs I want her to do for me. So we’re really building a little EP already.” She added, “We’re gonna have enough music that we need to go on tour together. Me and [Cardi] going out together will be so amazing. We are already so cool. And I feel like we got similar fans. So if she wanted to do a little EP, I would definitely be so down to do that, but we are making enough music to already have that.”
Megan also credited Cardi in the Complex interview with getting her back outside becase her shooting case with Tory Lanez had caused her a bout with depression. “I feel so happy. It’s been a while since I felt so excited and so much energy. I haven’t really been outside like that. I feel like Cardi definitely got me outside doing what we got to do for “BONGOS.”
In other Megan news, she’s gone viral for streamer Adin Ross commenting on one of her streams, “We don’t care. Free Tory,” completely ignoring the fact that Tory Lanez is currently serving 10 years for shooting her. He then explained his statement to his fans saying, “I’ma talk on the situation, real quick. This is all I’m gonna say: I’m not apologizing for shit. It’s still free Tory. Free him. He’s innocent. Alright?” “I don’t care! I’ve been canceled for way worse,” Ross continued. “This is not even bad what I’m saying. I hate this shit bro.” And he isn’t the only one. Meek Mill called for his release in July which is unfortunate because he’s supposed to be advocating for a fair criminal justice system. What evidence is there that Tory should be released? Then again, if anyone has ever heard him speak about criminal justice reform, he doesn’t really know anything about it outside of what he went through. He essentially was just a front person on camera.
