Meghan Markle’s Dad Said Oprah Took Advantage of a “Weak” Prince Harry

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah drew a lot of criticism but that is what happens when people are open about their personal lives. You’re going to be subject to criticism, not to mention the British media is absolutely trash when covering the Royals. And we’re sure the couple understood that before accepting the invitation. With that being said, one person who had lots to say about the interview was Markle’s dad, Thomas Markle, who just now gave an interview to 60 Minutes Australia discussing what he thinks.

“I have things to say. Oprah Winfrey, for one, I think is playing Harry and Meghan,” adding, “I think she is using them to build her network and build her new shows and I think she’s taken advantage of a very weakened man and has got him to say things that you just shouldn’t be saying on television.”

To his point, the interview did pull in over 17 million views. In context, that is just 4 million behind the epic Whitney Houston interview with Diane Sawyer. He went on to say “She [Oprah] will disagree of course, and she may even sue me. I don’t care. But, the bottom line is she is working with Harry.”

He says he learned of the birth of their second child through the public statement they made. he added, “I see them both ghosting their families completely and now they are alone in a huge house where they can probably accommodate 20 people in but it’s just the 4 of them. I don’t think they are going to have relatives over for a barbeque next week or next month.”

Markle and her father have been at odds with each other for some time and this wouldn’t be the first time he’s unloaded on her before. The thing is the couple told their truth and he’s going to have to accept it. And in the meantime if he expects to hear from his daughter again, he needs to apologize and cool it in the media. We only get one father and children can’t be replaced. They can’t fight with each other forever .
