The famed Met Gala is this evening in Manhattan at the Metropolitan Museum of Art with everyone dressed styled in the theme of “gilded glamour.” But things took a stark turn when what almost could have become a Will Smith moment occurred on the red carpet when Nicki Minaj was coming up the stairs and saw a reporter she had a problem with. She asked him if he leaked that she would be coming to the Met Gala… confirmed it was him and said she was going to “smack the sh** out of him.” And then told him to “come here,” right before the camera went off.

In other Nicki news, she recently made a promise to return to the “Nicki got her foot on b****s necks” era of her career. “Many of y’all never experienced a ‘Nicki got her foot on b***s necks’ era & it shows So from this day forth y’all will not get papa bear mommy cuz y’all don’t deserve her. Yall won’t get ’bout to be preggers Nicki or preggers Nicki. Y’all gon get who y’all begged4,” Minaj wrote. “And baby, that ‘b***s necks’ covers the whole spectrum. N****z tooooooooooooooooo,” she added in a followup tweet.
And we can see she meant it starting right there on the red carpet. But since she already had one violent Met Gala moment that involved flying shoes, she did the right thing by not carrying out that smack threat before she got two strikes. We don’t know if the industry could handle two formal event slaps in just a little over 30 days.
