Cleveland Browns player Myles Garrett got punched in the face by a fan who asked to take his pic while he was sitting in his car this month. As soon as they had positioned themselves for the picture, reaching into his car window in the middle of traffic to take it, they hauled off and punched him in the face. One would imagine trying that with a big 6’4 220+ pound guy would probably not be advised given what could happen next, but Garrett said he didn’t react because that would make him liable for a lawsuit. Psssht. He’s better than me.
Footage of the aftermath has now been released by way of the Cleveland police department and he appears to be calm throughout the entire conversation. The perpetrator was identified as Richard Perez through his license plate and Garrett was able to confirm the image of him provided by police was him. So far none of this has bothered him as he was on social media right after the event describing the hit as a “pillow tap” and that he should put his legs into it next time so he could have at least made him flinch. Personally, I would like to have seen this happened to Malik Mcdowell of the Seahawks. He’s currently facing charges for whooping a police officer’s arse in a gas station resisting arrest. Things might have ended quite differently in that situation.
