During this last season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Porsha Williams seemed to have found her Prince Charming who was willing to do anything for her. That is if you don’t pay attention to the warning signs from people like Kandi Burruss saying he was a player, the bachelor pad he lied about getting rid of or the night on camera she was trying to figure out where he was late into the night. She even said once that she would rather not lift the rug up looking for dirt, that she just wanted to enjoy herself. That’s understandable but you can’t unsee red flags when they appear.
All of the signs about Williams’ new too good to be true love may have been right because the two have now reportedly split. Mckinley made a statement following her unfollowing and following him back over allegations he had cheated on her with WAGS Atlanta star Sincerely Ward. “These false and slanderous allegations against me are made solely to damage my reputation, jeopardize my ongoing businesses, and negatively impact my family,” he said at the time. “My attempts to ignore this slander have only empowered Latasha Kebe (aka Tasha K.) to create more false accusations. I am currently taking legal action—and am currently being represented by Michael T. Sterling of Dreyer Sterling, LLC.” Also note that Ward says she’s never met him before or even believes they’ve been in the same room together. So far, neither have addressed.
This split is said to be “no surprise” to those closest to the Real Housewives star. “Porsha’s split from Dennis comes as no surprise to those close to her,” the insider revealed. “Her family and friends have been in her ear for weeks now telling her that she should leave him. This was all her own decision and they all knew that she would come to this on her own.”
The two just had their first child Pilar Jhena March 22nd and were supposed to be getting married New Years Eve, just 6 months away. “Production was notified that they suddenly needed to film a few days ago for Porsha and it was having to do with her issues with Dennis,” the source stated. “Dennis isn’t really fighting for her, either. Her family hasn’t been the biggest fan of Dennis, but they’ve been supporting Porsha as she really wanted to make this work.”
“Those close to Porsha know how badly she wanted a baby and questioned how quickly she rushed into this, but she did fall in love, they just wanted to see her take her time,” the friend added. “Porsha is so focused on being a career woman and doing more than just reality TV so now that she has other projects and sees she can stand on her own two feet, she’s confident she’ll be OK.” Porsha has been teasing a new “secret project” she’s working on, plus is still very much involved with her role at Dish Nation. “Porsha has been so busy filming but she’s back in Atlanta now after her work and business trips in Florida and LA. Her mom and sister are constantly with the baby who has been traveling with them,” the source said.
The most interesting part about this split is that the two people Porsha had been fighting with the most have been her closest sources of support. “Of course her RHOA cast members are supporting her, but Kandi Burruss and Kenya Moore especially have been there for her,” the insider explained. “She views them almost like big sisters and Kandi has been urging Porsha for months now as she heard rumblings around town about Dennis being unfaithful. They know Porsha is so strong and will be fine.”
You all might remember the time Williams fired her sister Lauren as her manager. Well all that is water under the bridge and these days she’s pretty much there for her through this breakup which is important because family’s always there no matter what, or at least should be, anyway. “Porsha has been leaning on her little sister Lauren more than anyone else right now and they are pretty much inseparable. Lauren is Porsha’s biggest supporter and knows exactly what she’s going through. As a single mother herself, she knows what challenges Porsha might face but also knows what a strong, smart, independent woman Porsha is and will be just fine with or without Dennis. Lauren has been there for Porsha throughout all the ups and downs of her relationship with Dennis and her only concern right now is Porsha and PJ’s happiness.”
Williams really was into this guy and for a moment we wanted to do as Burruss did and just step back and let her be happy because if she is okay with what’s going on and is happy, that’s all that matters. Sadly, that’s not how it all played out. She did, however finally get the child she had been wanting since the time she joined the show.
