Rapper Silento had one of the hottest songs of this last decade, Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae) but as often is the case, when things quieted down for him, trouble came along the way. Last summer he went viral for being in a leaked gay porn video by himself with a dildo. He then ended up in jail in September for assaulting someone who was living with him and fast forward to Monday, February 1st and he’s arrested again, this time for allegedly killing his cousin.
His cousin, Frederick Rocks had been gunned down January 21st in Dekalb County, GA and neighboring Ring cameras caught multiple cars fleeing the scene where bulet casings were found. Now a motive hasn’t been identified yet but ever since that video of him was released, life has gone downhill for him. He wouldn’t be the first rapper to be bisexual or even end up in a compromising position in 2021. It’s becoming quite more popular although what he was doing was urr um, a little different.
Male fragility is a thing and I’ve said in the past that people have to be careful with outing men because there have been plenty of cases of people ending up dead for doing so and that is pretty much what most people assumed here. He was arrested in October for doing 143 miles per hour and had 2 felony accounts of assault with a deadly weapon for threatening people with a hatchet the month before. His manager says he’s been suffering from a “series of mental health illnesses.” This might be true and one other thing to note about mental illness is that traumatic life experiences tend to trigger these people and too often for worse.
