Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Mary Cosby just made the accusation that her castmate Heather Gay is racist. The claim was made in an Instagram post where she wrote, “If you want to know why I Blocked Heather Gay is [sic] because Heather Gay is a racist! … LETS SPEAK TRUTH!!” She went on to say, “If you want my Truth ask me! I never did anything to #heather.. She’s a #karen if your not [sic] African American then you will not know! I speak Truth! I don’t tolerate haters! I would have never said anything if she would have #keepyourmouthshut.”
Now this is interesting because Cosby is seen as not liking black people herself. Remember she had a scandal where she denied saying she was afraid of black men standing outside of 7-11’s. She claims she was referring to anyone standing outside and not just black men. About the comment, she told Andy Cohen at the Season 1 reunion, “I’m black. My son is black.” Then there’s the fact she said she wasn’t into black guys. Meh. We’ll give her that one but with a side eye.
As for her accusation against Gay, sources say it isn’t related to anything that happened on the show. And that’s possible. Life does exist outside of the show. She just doesn’t exactly come across as the best source of accusations of racism.
She also has her own ick factor. What do we mean by ick factor? The woman married her step father-in-law. And she did it because her grandmother wanted her to do it to inherit her church and thus they’ve been together the last 20 years. That’s quite creepy in this day in age. Then there’s the fact she said she didn’t want to do it in the first place. It’s hard to tell whether to feel sorry for her, help her escape or just look the other way.
She hasn’t exactly treated her church family the best either. She’s been caught on tape calling her congregants poor and stingy. That’s pretty f’ing terrible, if you ask us.
For now, let’s see how this racist accusation plays out.
