In the #MeToo world, there are two outspoken stars feuding heavily with a history that goes back decades. Rose McGowan and Alyssa Milano worked together for years on the set of ‘Charmed’ and apparently had anything but positive experiences around each other. McGowan called out Harvey Weinstein accusing him of rape and celebrated when he finally went off to prison. She made news last week for calling leaders in the Democrat Party enablers of sexual predators. She also said that the party had “achieved nothing,” highlighting its failures among minorities.
It was at this point of McGowan attacking the Democrat party that Milano chimed in tweeting “Rose and anyone bleating the same ‘dEmOcRaTs DoNt HeLp PeOpLe’ nonsense, your lies are going to hurt people less privileged than you,” she wrote. “It’s the kind of thing an ACTUAL fraud would do. Thousands of people are dying a day but you go on with your hyperbolic attention seeking tweets.”
McGowan hit back on Twitter saying, “1) You stole #metoo (a brilliant communication tool, not a movement) from Tarana. You co-opted my movement, the Cultural Reset, for fame, jealous of me for outing my rapist. You made 250k per week on Charmed.
“2) You threw a fit in front of the crew, yelling, ‘They don’t pay me enough to do this shit!’ Appalling behavior on the daily. I cried every time we got renewed because you made that set toxic AF. Now, get off my coattails you f**king fraud.”
Milano came back tweeting, “Commenting further doesn’t align with my wellness plan. Do you think we can get #AlyssaMilanoIsALie to trend number 1 before I fall asleep? Everyone saying sweet things—I see you. Thank you. Everyone saying horrible things—I see you. F**k off. Hurt people hurt people. Empowered people empower people. Loved people love people.”
For what it’s worth, we have our money on McGowan given that she has a legitimate #MeToo story but it looks like things are just starting to heat up between these two. We’ll be reporting on all updates from here.
