Song of the Day: 'Problem Wit It' - Antoine

Problem Wit It by Antoine’s today’s PopGlitz Song of the Day. As a seductive R&B song with a set of clever lyrics, it’s an irresistible song to listen to. “Like my momma need money, and you da boss on the job gettin’ overtime from me/ Beat it up like a loan shark like it owe me money, do it like the energizer money.” Antoine stands out as an artist for a few reasons, at the drop of a dime he’s able to sing showcasing his run making ability. We shared a car video of him singing below. And unlike most modern artists, he values good lyric making ability.

Now for how we came across Antoine. He was one of the first accounts we came across on Snapchat with a series called Callboy Confessions. It seemed interesting hearing someone talk about that lifestyle. And during one of the videos he started singing and at that point we had been following for awhile to which we had to say something. “Wait, you can sing? And you can sing like that without saying anything about it? B*tch, how?” So from there we made a mental note that we needed to cover him. And that’s been awhile ago.

While thinking of which artists we haven’t gotten to yet, we said that this guy deserves the shine. And while I’m not easily impressed, Antoine’s heard us say a number of times that he needs to sing more. He both has legitimately great vocals and has tracks that sound like American Idol finale performances. He’s capable of speaking which is important because a lot of artists are rather cringeworthy in that department and his commitment to fitness doesn’t hurt either. Sidebar: We just found out he’s from Baltimore and if you follow this site you know that’s one of my favorite cities and they always get big ups when we get the chance. He also says he’s working on a new album so you all have that to look forward to and we’ll be letting you know when that happens.
