Joe Lara, star of Tarzan: The Epic Adventures died this weekend in a plane crash in Tennessee on his way to Palm Beach. At 58 years old he was just months away from his 3rd year anniversary with Christian author Gwen Shamblin Lara, who he married in 2018. Five others on the plane were Jennifer J. Martin, David L. Martin, Jessica Walters, Jonathan Walters, and Brandon Hannah, all locals that were members of the same church.
The Associated Press reported that there were no survivors at the scene saying, “Our efforts have transitioned from a rescue effort to that of a recovery effort,” Rutherford County Fire Rescue Capt. Joshua Sanders said during a news conference. “We are no longer… looking for live victims at this point.”
