Taylor Swift just celebrated her 32nd birthday and also the fact that the re-release of her debut album that she rerecorded so she could have complete control of the masters of her work. Unfortunately, the celebration of the latter resulted in a massive number of people catching COVID, officially designating it a super spreader event. Now she wasn’t physically at this event in Australia but the 600 person was held at Sydney’s Metro Theatre in New South Wales with about 1/6th or 100 of the participants reported to have caught COVID.

A number of the people checked into the event with QR codes making it easier for health officials to contact them about contracting COVID. And if any of the attendees identified as having COVID or even in the vicinity think they’re going to just brush this to the side and can go about their lives, a 20 year old recently was made to pay a $10,000 fine for going out clubbing when he was ordered to go into isolation.

The health ministry said anyone who attended the “On Repeat: Taylor Swift Red Party” at the Metro Theatre from 9 p.m. local time on Friday Dec. 10 is considered a “close contact” of a positive Covid case and “must immediately get tested and isolate for 7 days.”

We think it would be a good idea to listen to these instructions. After all, ya’ll know the Omarion, I mean omicron variant is out there raging these days.
