Relationships can be messy, especially when getting out of one into the next and timelines get blurred. Welcome to the life of the Kardashians but if truth be told, if most of the world had their lives filmed, it would show that their lives aren’t that much of anomaly as people would have you to think. Khloe Kardashian this week made the claim that she didn’t know that the guy she was dating, Tristan Thompson, the father of her child was in a relationship when they first started dating. This is possible; although it quickly became a hot topic that she stole someone else’s man and at that point she didn’t seem to question or pull back.
But moving on, the ex, who was pregnant at the time he started dating Tristan Thompson, Jordan Craig revealed in a recently uncovered child support deposition back in January that he gave her $112,000 soon after buying her L.A. home in November 2017. Thompson’s attorney Peter Lauzon asked what the money was for and she said, “Well, if we really want to put this on here, that was part of a bribe.” And when asked to explain what she meant by bribe, she said, “That he [Thompson] would help me if I wasn’t, like, dating anybody or talking to anybody, and that I would have to come see him.”
Thompson’s deposition went a little different as he denied bribing Craig with money saying, “No one ever said about not see or date anyone. All I please said is, if you’re a single woman, I wanted to request her not to have random men around my child.”
Craig’s spending habits came up with Thompson’s attorney asking her about $20,000 spent on a pool because their son Prince likes to swim or $16,000 to remodel his room like a castle. Honestly, if Thompson wanted to help with those things, that’s between the two of them.
Craig says Thompson only saw their son 4 times in 2018 but that that was because of unreasonable demands he made of her. “Tristan began requesting to FaceTime with Prince and even began to have Prince and I visit him while he was on the road traveling during the season so that he could spend more time with Prince,” Craig wrote in the affidavit. “This was short lived. Tristan and I remained friends for months, however, he eventually made it clear that he did not want me to ‘see’ or date anyone. I could not agree to this. It became clear to me that his interest was never in Prince when I told him I no longer wanted this type of friendship with him and he became completely absent in Prince’s life.”
So the takeaway is that Thompson wanted to have a somewhat stable relationship with his son that didn’t involve a bunch of men being around, Craig says he bribed her with money likely for sex and to follow him around the country which seems a little fishy. Depending on her schedule, the traveling isn’t exactly unreasonable if you’re being compensated for it. If you feel obligated to sleep with your ex because he’s giving you money, that says more about you than him and after seeing him with multiple women in the media and knowing he’s in a new relationship, that’s you voluntarily allowing yourself to be violated. Sigh. Apparently court or a mediator at the least is the only thing that can solve this because clearly both of them aren’t going to be able to do so on their own because neither has been thinking properly.
