Wendy Williams’ son Kevin Jr. appeared in court today for punching his dad in the face last month. A heated argument where his father suggested the 18 year old not rely on his mother and should make his own way after he himself had just filed for spousal support lead to him getting punched in the nose. The event has ironically puled he now separated couple closer together as neither parent appeared in court with their son as originally planned to support him but remained in a car together outside after being told their appearance would not be necessary. A friend of Wendy’s has said “There’s still love between [them], regardless of the divorce.”
Kevin, Sr. did not wish to press charges which makes the situation with his son easier as it pertains to court proceedings. There’s also a state-wide conditional dismissal program that can clear one’s record that Kevin, Jr. may qualify for that can if he keeps himself out of trouble. The hearing in total only lasted a few minutes with him pleading guilty without any action taken. The prosecutor is seen on video saying the “state needs additional time to review some factors” in the case. He also said he had discussed the state’s decision with Kevin, Jr.’s attorney beforehand. The case will continue in two weeks for today’s date after information surrounding the case is reviewed.
So it looks as though Kevin, Jr., with the united front his parents are putting on on his behalf, the statewide conditional program that can clear Kevin Jr’s record if he keeps his nose clean and his father’s decision not to press charges, things appear to be on the up and up for him. We’d hate to see him start to go down a wrong path already at 18 all over his parents divorcing. We would like to offer one piece of advice and that is that if you must punch someone, do it where there aren’t any bystanders and witnesses. Anyway, we’ll be reporting more as the case progresses.
