YK Osiris Trades In His Luxury Cars for a Hyundai to Remember Where He Came From

Singer YK Osiris shocked fans with with Instagram Story post of him announcing that he had traded in his cars for a guess what… a Hyundai. Just three years into the industry he says he didn’t want to get too big headed.

“I sold my Lamborghini, I sold my Rolls Royce, I sold my Cadillacs… I ain’t gon’ lie, this thing humble yourself. I ain’t gone cap to you.” He went on to say, “I ain’t gotta floss for you n*ggas man. Y’all gon’ think what y’all wanna think. If I do got it, don’t got it, y’all gon’ think what y’all wanna think. I love this Hyundai. Sh*t, I ain’t riding a f*cking Lamborghini, I ain’t gotta floss for you n*ggas. That’s what’s wrong with you n*ggas, y’all feel like you gotta floss for Instagram. Man, f*ck them man, y’all don’t need to floss for no dumb a** Instagram.”

It was his life before the fame and how easily he could go right back there he says that caused him to make the decision. “I had to sit back. I had to realize and look at the world like, ‘Osiris, you forgot who the f*ck you are, you forgot where the f*ck you came from. F*ck a Lambo n*gga, f*ck a Rolls-Royce. Remember where you came from n*gga. Don’t get lost in the sauce.”

He says he wants to focus more on making music and his career. “Get this m*thaf*ckin’ music. Drop this music and get this f*cking money man, and don’t worry about that dumb sh*t. Just remember… the same way you got it up, the same way you’ll go down. Swear to God, on my life.” And he has a point. If you get too caught up in the lifestyle surrounding the industry and lose sight of what has you there, that’s it. I still remember watching Ray J on his reality show with his sister Brandy years ago when his manager told him he had to trade some cars in including the one he had just gone out to buy. And the fact he’s come to this conclusion at just 22 shows he’s maturing.

Now while this might be a responsible adult decision, to be honest, we give it about a month. Be humble, but do we really see him going around this industry in a Hyundai? Probably not. Even when Bethenny Frankel began the Real Housewives of New York and was broke wrapping her first car in the early days of the show, she had a Volkswagen Beetle. He still gets points from us for the effort. Just about a year ago he was arrested for choking and biting his girlfriend so it’s probably a good idea he’s trying to keep himself level headed behaving like that.
