Our favorite hip hop entrepreneur Diddy just announced a coronavirus fundraiser happening in just a few hours this Easter Sunday. It’s going to be what he’s called the “world’s biggest dance-a-thon” happening on his Instagram raising money for healthcare workers in underserved communities around the country. A rep of his said we can expect appearances by Justin Bieber, Snoop Dogg, Shaq, DJ Khaled, Swizz Beatz, Kelly Rowland, Maluma and some more.
Referencing under served communities most likely refers to black communities. This is important because it’s been reported this week that the coronavirus is affecting the black community the most given underlying health conditions. This should come as no surprise as historically blacks have lived in communities that were redlined having industrial use facilities that cause cancer, asthma and other health problems for decades. With that being said, this should have been reported on first, knowing this information, but it wasn’t until thousands of people died, did this happen. So his assistance in areas being hardest hit is very much appreciated.
