DMX surprised fans over the weekend with his own Instagram Live bible study. Now in 2016 he did an interview with The Breakfast Club where he said he was called to be a pastor. This might come as a surprise to some given a lot of his legal problems in recent years including being in rehab for drug abuse among other things. But that’s just what makes him the best messenger as a minister. He has an amazing story.
During his Friday night Bible reading, he covered Ecclesiastes. “A time for crying, a time for laughing, a time mourning and a time for dancing, a time for throwing stones, a time for embracing, and a time for avoiding embraces.” He continued with “a time for embracing, and a time for avoiding embraces,” he reiterated as it’s currently an appropriate line as it pertains to social distancing.
He had 14,000 people tuned in with people tweeting “That clip of DMX…full face and clear eyes…sharing the Word. Just made me so happy.” “He’s been saying he feels called to ministry for a while (which I think isn’t surprising). I’m thrilled he’s in a good place and seeks to help others find a good place,” another wrote.
We’re not going to go into detail with a lot of his past missteps because he’s trying to change and who can speak badly of him trying to host a bible study online? There’s a lot of things he could have been doing during quarantine time… like hosting girls twerking on Quarantine Radio like Torey Lanez did. But then again Lanez is 27 and DMX is turning 50 this year so this is a little more age appropriate.
