Was it all for clout? That’s what has fans of Atlanta influencer Dante Jamel, better known as DanteTheBody wandering after prayers went up over what appeared to be a suicide note he posted just days ago. Friends and family checked on him to include Rick Ross’ trainer Jason Lobdell aka Mr2WeeksOut who said he had spoken to him and him and his family just needed some space. In my opinion, based on his comment alone I said this is legitimate because he’s not someone about foolishness. In the end, the post was deleted and he started posting on OnlyFans. So essentially everyone got worked up over nothing.

Now there were a few red flags in this. Days before his apparent suicide note, he did announce that he was considering coming out of OnlyFans retirement and that him and his wife were going to be outside, but first he wanted to make sure his fans supported him. His wife went on to deactivate her page which made it seem like something had happened to her or that she was distraught. I saw people speculating divorce or that he might have dome something to her. One comment even claimed he beat her up, although I have nothing to confirm that. And while this all technically isn’t our business, you don’t get people worked up and then not let them know you’re okay.

I’m also seeing people mock the situation and how people got worked up over nothing insinuating that no one should have shown any sympathy to begin with. And that is something I disagree with. Suicide is a serious thing and something we shouldn’t want to see anyone go through. So me showing concern isn’t something I regret or will feel bad about. If more of us supported each other instead of trying to fast tract triggers that send people into an early grave, we might have fewer stories like this.

And lastly, while checking the status of Dante, I noticed someone plagiarized my article, and someone on my friend list at that. It’s blogger Maquise Wiley. And I only read the article because I said it’s longer than what I’m used to seeing him write which is when I realized the entire thing was my article. Now who is Marquise Wiley? He’s a YouTuber better known as WileyTheTroll and he happens to be on my friend list. In recent news he was arrested for threatening to blow up a Walmart and he currently has a GoFundMe from when he recently shared that he was living in a homeless shelter. And one would think that with him being a vocal Trump supporter that he would have raised more than $300 of his $5,000 goal. Either way, we wish him well. We just suggest that he spend some time working on his writing if that in fact is what he wants to do.

UPDATE: As of 6pm EST, Dante posted to his Instagram Story saying he had an episode and that he suffers from depression. We’re glad he’s fine and certainly hope he gets the help he needs.
